Thank you for sharing this story. Ana Sofia is beautiful! I am stunned, angry, frustrated, in disbelief…. It goes on and on. How our government came to this decision is beyond me. Sending you and ALL your family much love.

This was so interesting and included things I didn’t know but am glad that I know now. I will share with my neighbor whose youngest is adorable, sweet, and has been diagnosed with autism. Fortunately, he too has loving parents who will advocate for him and make wise decisions regarding him. Also, the photos are beautiful. Katia, did you take most of them?

We have friends that also had a severely disabled child and I know they had to fight long and hard to receive help back then. It is appalling that the so-called "richest country in the world" does not want to help its people through their life problems! It is OUR country, OUR people! Our Republican Congressmen should be fired! Thank you Tessa and Katia for bringing this story to our attention. Love Polly

Katia thank you and your cousin for sharing this story and for the beautiful and perfect way to describe your very large familia. Ana Sofía and the pictures are beautiful. I really appreciate Tessa sharing her experience. Hopefully it underscores that the dreadful, cruel slashes in Medicaid by this hateful, awful, inhumane (and so many more descriptors) regime affects real people and real lives. This isn’t some abstract or theoretical concept. A healthy society (in all the ways that applies) truly only succeeds when we understand that we are all really connected and thus affected by the best and worst of who we decide to be.
